Construction Update – Weekend Work Schedule

Micropile installation work has been completed.

Starting August 24th, 2017, Frank Coluccio Construction will begin installation of the above ground storage tank and air release valve vault in the pump station property.  Normal working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  In addition, work will be performed on Saturday, August 26th, and Saturday, September 2nd, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.  The contractor is choosing to work on Saturdays to expedite the schedule with the aim to complete construction by late September, 2017.

Restoration of the sidewalk entrance to the pump station has been postponed.

Starting August 7th, 2017, Prometheus Construction will resume installation of micropiles at the Kāne‘ohe Bay #2 Wastewater Pump Station.  There will be high noise levels due to drilling activities during working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  The work is estimated to last three to four weeks.

On Thursday, July 27th, Frank Coluccio Construction will begin restoring the sidewalk at the entrance to the pump station on Kaimalu Place.  There will be trucks and heavy machinery in the area.

Micropile installation has been suspended due to equipment failure.  Work will tentatively resume in early August, 2017.

Starting July 7th, 2017, the contractor will resume installation of micropiles at the Kāne‘ohe Bay #2 Wastewater Pump Station.  There will be high noise levels due to drilling activities during working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  This work will last approximately three to four weeks.

The estimated completion date of the project is late September, 2017.

On Thursday, April 20th, Frank Coluccio Construction and its subcontractor, Eckard Brandes (EBD), will be cleaning a sewer lateral on Mikiola Drive.  The work will take approximately one day between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm.  Please observe the traffic signs and drive cautiously in the area.  Mahalo!

Starting Monday, April 10, Frank Coluccio Construction and its subcontractors will begin installing micropiles within the pump station property.  There will be heavy machinery and vehicles within the pump station property and on Kaimalu Place from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.  Please use caution in the area.  Mahalo!

On Friday, March 17, Frank Coluccio Construction and Hawaiian Electric Company will install a new electrical transformer at the pump station.  There will be heavy machinery and vehicles within the pump station property and on Kaimalu Place from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Construction Update: Connection of New Force Main to Pump Station

Starting November 28, for a period of approximately three weeks, Frank Coluccio Construction will be connecting the new force main to the pump station.  Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  However, bypass pumps and generators will be running continuously 24/7, for a period of one to two weeks.  The pumps and generators will produce significant noise twenty four hours a day during this period.

Construction Update: Jet Grout Work Complete–New Sewer Line and Manholes to be Installed

On September 29th, Frank Coluccio Construction completed the Jet Grout process.  On October 13th, FCC started the next phase of construction with preliminary excavation work and installation of a new sewer line and sewer manholes on Mikiola Drive.  

As of October 17th, this work will continue from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and will take approximately three weeks to complete.  Please observe signs and drive slowly in construction zones.
